Community Health Adviser/ Trainee Health Adviser
We are looking for someone who would be interested in a new, part-time post in our growing
and progressive department.
In order to implement the Government's National Strategy for Sexual Health & HIV, we
wish to employ a Community Health Adviser, to liaise with Primary Care teams and the
community, and thereby improve access to and raise standards of services available. In
this post, we would like to develop placement at Health Centres and/or GP practices to
help expand services within the community, (Level one of the National Strategy). In
addition, there will be a more general educational role to inform practitioers of their
increased responsibilities.
You will have either a relevant degree, CQSW (Dip SW) or RGN qualification. You may have
experience of Community work in a capacity such as Health Visitor, Practice Nurse,
Outreach worker, etc. You will have initiative, good organisational skills and the ability
to work on your own and as part of a multi-disciplinary team. Experience as a Health
Adviser is desirable, but not essential.
The post is for 16 hours/week, flexible hours including evenings.
Salary Scale: Grade F

SENIOR HEALTH ADVISER
£26,697 - £30,915 p.a. inc. (G Grade or equivalent)
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Genito-urinary Nurse or Health Adviser
to set up a comprehensive Health Advisory Service within this busy Sexual Health Centre,
including your participation within the Hillingdon interagency network for young people
and their sexual health.
You will be expected to provide information, education and counselling to patients
diagnosed with sexually transmitted infections including HIV. Once you are established,
funding will be available to recruit a second Trainee Health Advisor. Administration and
clerical support will be available.
We have a strong commitment to supervision, appraisal and continuing professional
development, which is supported by excellent internal and external training opportunities.

We are looking for 1 full time Health Adviser to work in this busy Sexual health
department.
As part of the Health Advisers' team, you will fulfil an important health education and
public health role
You will also provide support and advice to people considering the HIV Antibody test.
You will have a relevant degree, and/or CQSW (Dip SW), RGN, RMN qualifications.
You should be seeking a challenging post where you, as part of a hard working team, can be
involved in encouraging people towards greater sexual health. Counselling or advice
experience is desirable.
