Case Study 2

A social worker sees you in GUM having brought up a fifteen-year-old in care who has accused a care worker of having sexual intercourse with her. This is being investigated and the member of staff has been suspended until the outcome of the enquiry is known. The young woman requires on-going treatment for genital warts. This is her second visit. A swab from last week’s tests proved positive for chlamydia. The social worker asks you for an update to feed back to the enquiry.
